Backflow Certification
Backflow certification is a State and Local requirement for irrigation systems. Lawns Unlimited Inc. has two full time State of Missouri Certified employees to test backflow devices. The process requires the testing of each portion of the backflow for stability in resistance between the primary and secondary stops. When the test is complete, Lawns Unlimited, Inc. will provide you with a copy of the results, send a copy to your local water district for future reference, and we will maintain a copy of the results in our office. Due to the overwhelming amount of information provided to the local water districts, our records are here to support our testing procedure in reference to dates of service, pressures acquired during the test, and any additional comments towards the overall general condition of the units.

The purpose of the backflow test is to assure the water flow maintains a direction flow through the device. Should any portion of the device fail, under certain circumstances a siphon may occur within our supply resulting in the contamination of the water district. This is a rare case but should be taken seriously. Lawns Unlimited, Inc. tests each and every backflow to obtain the information to determine their current condition. We guarantee the performance of our employees to be professional, honest, and the information provided to be current readings.
